The verdict in the trial of the violent death of the 14-year-old has been pronounced. The trial began in June 2023.
Giessen – The trial of the violent death of 14-year-old schoolgirl Ayleen from Baden-Württemberg came to an end today in the Giessen Regional Court. The defendant has been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder. In addition, the court noted the particular gravity of the guilt. Because of murder and attempted rape, the court also ordered preventive detention for the perpetrator. Most recently, an expert had stated in the trial that he considered the risk of recidivism of the defendant to be high and that he was guilty.

Ayleen was killed in July 2022 by the now 30-year-old from the Lahn-Dill district between Cleeberg and Espa. Her body was found in the Teufelsee near Weckesheim. (anki/dpa)
