A fatal car accident occurred today (Thursday) on Route 398 near the Mazmoriya checkpoint, when rescue forces were called to the scene and worked to rescue a trapped woman from an Israeli vehicle, but she was found dead. Medical officials have yet to confirm this.
Reshef Lily Ben Lulu, deputy shift commander of the Judea and Samaria firefighters, said: "We received a report of a serious car accident between two vehicles near the Mazmoriya checkpoint.
On our way to the incident, we received a report that there was a certain trapped person inside one of the vehicles.
Upon arrival at the scene, we identified a head-on traffic accident between two private vehicles with severe kinematics, and one of the vehicles trapped in the driver's seat.
We immediately began complex rescue operations to rescue the trapped woman, using dedicated hydraulic tools. According to medical officials, the trapped woman was pronounced dead."
