Hundreds of portraits, mostly rather young faces, mostly of men, but also of women, are displayed on the grounds of the monastery of St. Michael in the Golden Dome in Kiev. It is the "wall of heroes", Ukrainian fighters who have fallen against the Russians since the beginning of the war – in Donbass – in 2014, in front of which Sébastien Lecornu meditates. "It's always moving, seeing more and more photos of soldiers who died on the field of honor," says the Minister of the Armed Forces, who has already been here. His second visit, this Thursday, September 28, comes at a time when Ukraine, with a conflict with Russia that drags on, sometimes doubts the determination of its allies.
