On TV, shortly before the state election, CSU leader Söder and Green Party top candidate Hartmann will face each other. It is "the confrontation".

Munich – On Sunday in two weeks, October 8, the time has come for the state elections in Bavaria to take place. Shortly before that, on Tuesday, October 3 – the Day of German Unity – there will be an explosive TV duel at BR. Because then the incumbent Prime Minister and head of the CSU Markus Söder and Green Party top candidate and opposition leader Ludwig Hartmann will face each other in front of the cameras.

TV duel in Bavaria: Söder vs. Hartmann – broadcast on the Day of German Unity

For an hour, Söder and Hartmann will face each other on Tuesday in the TV show titled "the confrontation" by BR. This could be a hive of activity. For example, the CSU leader has repeatedly fired fiercely at the Greens, criticizing them, among other things, for what he considers to be a double standard.

But even the Greens in Bavaria are not exactly holding back with their criticism of the incumbent prime minister. With regard to the leaflet affair surrounding Free Voters boss Hubert Aiwanger, Hartmann accused Söder, for example, of having opted for tactics instead of attitude when dealing with the incident. In mid-September, the two also sat next to each other in a double interview conducted by Merkur.de – and did not skimp on pithy statements.
