Was it a relationship dispute? This has yet to be clarified. What is certain, however, is that a woman has died after her husband's attack on her, and her child's life is in danger.
Duisburg - After a presumably targeted attack with a car on a 19-year-old woman and her one-year-old child in Duisburg, the woman died of her serious injuries. This was announced by the police and the public prosecutor's office in Duisburg on Monday.
A 25-year-old had hit the woman and the child in the act on Sunday with the car and injured life-threatening. The man was arrested. A homicide squad is investigating.
The man was the husband of the woman and the father of the child. The 25-year-old has Serbian citizenship, his wife German.
Initial witness statements indicated that relationship disputes could have led to the crime. The man had gotten out after the car attack and had hit the woman and kicked. Witnesses then detained him until the police arrived. The child's life is still in danger. Dpa
