Unterallgäu – District Administrator Alex Eder welcomed 44 guests from the partner district of Nordhausen to the Unterallgäu district office – including the district administrator of Nordhausen, Matthias Jendricke, members of the district council, the district administration and the partnership association.
Since the guests arrived during a meeting of the Unterallgäu Personnel Committee, the district councillors took the opportunity to welcome the friends from the partner district as well. During their three-day stay, the delegation visited the basilica in Ottobeuren and the Rapunzel company in Legau. In addition, an excursion to Oberstdorf, to the ski jumping arena and to the Breitachklamm gorge was on the program.
"The exchange between the districts is very fruitful and helpful," emphasized District Administrator Eder. The districts of Unterallgäu and Nordhausen have been twinned since the early 1990s. What was initially intended as an aid to the development of the administration after the fall of the Berlin Wall has developed into a long-term relationship with mutual information visits and a lively exchange of information and experience.
