Nuremberg - The hottest September since weather records began has come to an end. October seems to tie in seamlessly with this. Even on the Day of German Unity (3 October), temperatures of up to 28 degrees are possible in Bavaria.
Temperature records in October? This is what the weather will be like in Franconia
"After some stations have set new heat records for the September average temperature, we are now talking about a new record for the monthly maximum temperature in October. You can beat 27.6 degrees in Bamberg and 27.7 degrees in Nuremberg," explains expert Stefan Ochs in his latest weather report for the Regnitz region. Will a new record be set this week? An outlook.

Day of German Unity: Up to 28 degrees in Franconia, sun shines from the sky
On Monday, 2 October, it will remain sunny and dry in Franconia with a maximum of 26 degrees. On Tuesday, the Day of German Unity, the sun shines undisturbed until the early afternoon. "The turbulence associated with the wind mixes warm air from the height (1500 m) down to the ground, so that a maximum temperature of 28 degrees is expected," according to the forecast of weather expert Ochs.
In the course of the afternoon, the first clouds will appear, precipitation will still be absent at this time. Rain only falls in the evening when the cold front passes through. The wind picks up, in places even squalls are possible.

France-High determines Bavaria weather - Temperatures go down
"On Wednesday and Thursday, a high with a center over northern France will determine our weather," according to the forecast. At times the sun shines, occasionally cloud fields pass through. However, it should stay dry. However, the temperatures drop significantly and are still around 18 degrees. According to Ochs, however, this is still two degrees above the long-term average.
Friday and Saturday it will be very sunny and dry again under the influence of high pressure with temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees. "Deviating from this, in the GFS model, a front that has penetrated the high will bring dense clouds, some rain and maximum temperatures of only 14 degrees, especially on Saturday," the weather forecast continues. So it remains to be seen what the weather will be like next weekend. (came)
