She has been hosting "We, the Europeans" on France 2 and France 3 since September 2021. A magazine intended to "share and be inspired by good ideas" born in our neighbors. Prior to that, Éléonore Gay was deputy editor-in-chief of the 20 heures de la Deux newspaper. "Eight months ago, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had shock treatment. Sixteen chemotherapy treatments and an operation in early September. Today, there is no cancer in my body. I feel good," says Éléonore Gay, who praises the professionals who accompanied her in this ordeal.
While continuing the sport as she was advised, the host had adapted, with the support of France Télévisions, her schedule: "I did my chemos on Thursdays to be able to record the programs the first three days of the week. Instead of going to distant lands, we shot the sets in France."
She also recounts the difficulty of announcing such a disease to her children ("They happen to have a crazy resource," she enthuses all the same) and announcing it to herself: "All people with a serious illness have experienced the anguish of approaching the edge of the precipice." However, this can be overcome, "as a family, as a team".
