For a long time, the future of Louis Klamroth at "Hart aber fair" was written in the stars. Now there is finally news: The moderator is allowed to stay.
Cologne – Louis Klamroth (33) has only been the new face of the Monday talk show "Hart aber fair" since the beginning of this year. Prior to that, Frank Plasberg (66) had hosted the format on Das Erste for a proud 20 years. Klamroth's appointment was accompanied by much criticism. His partner is none other than climate activist Luisa Neubauer (27). The private liaison made headlines because the neutrality of the moderator was questioned.
"Tough but fair": Louis Klamroth's production company takes over
At the end of the year, the production contract of the WDR program expires. Plasberg had continued to participate in the format with his company Ansager & Schnipselmann, but the cooperation seemed to be problematic for both parties. Even before the summer break, the broadcaster announced, according to t-online.de: "WDR's discussions with the presenter and production company have shown that cooperation in its current form beyond 2023 is not possible."
As a result, the rumor mill bubbled that Louis Klamroth's days on "Hart aber fair" were numbered. In fact, exactly the opposite is the case: the TV journalist has received a contract extension. In addition, Klamroth is getting involved with his production company Florida Factual and will have much more influence as a result. Frank Plasberg, on the other hand, is finally saying goodbye to the format.
Louis Klamroth: Cousin is co-managing director of his production company
WDR confirmed the change as follows: "WDR will work with the production company Florida Factual from January 2024." The broadcaster did not want to give further contract details when asked. According to t-online.de, the cooperation will probably last until the end of 2025. "WDR will continue to develop the successful concept of this talk show together with him in the first and tailor it even more to his strengths - especially with regard to the ARD Mediathek," it also said.

Klamroth had once founded the production company under the name K2H. In the summer, it was acquired by Joko and Klaas' company Florida Entertainment and has since been called Florida Factual. The co-managing director is Louis Klamroth's cousin Nikolaus Klamroth. It is not uncommon for the program of the public broadcasters to arouse displeasure: For example, the "Inga Lindström" anniversary with Uschi Glas (79) failed with most ZDF viewers.
