The sport unites Albert and Charlène of Monaco. Actually. Because at the prestigious Ryder Cup golf tournament, the prince showed himself at the side of another woman.
Rome – Charlène Wittstock (45) and the notorious bachelor Albert of Monaco (65) met at a swimming competition in Monaco in 2000. The former professional swimmer conquered the heart of the Monegasque playboy and became Princess Charlène of Monaco through the wedding in 2011. In their relationship, marked by ups and downs, there has always been one constant: the love of sport. But now Albert II was beaming at the side of another lady – at a golf tournament, of all places.
Charlène of Monaco is blonde again, but Albert is having fun with a brunette Italian woman
At the charity golf tournament in Monaco at the beginning of September, Albert of Monaco put in a lot of effort for his Charlène, the princess even picked up a golf club herself to the applause of the spectators and then picked up a kiss from her husband. For the Ryder Cup, a multi-day, top-class golf tournament between the best players in Europe and the USA, the bustling Monegasque sovereign traveled without Charlène, but this did not dampen his dazzling mood.
Prince Albert did not have to do without female company. Casually dressed in a Ryder Cup cap and a polo shirt, Albert cheered on Team Europe in the stands, next to him an equally sportily dressed woman with a radiant smile and a long, brunette mane. The lady with whom Albert got along so well in Charlène's absence that the two couldn't stop laughing is Lavinia Biagiotti (44), president of the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in the city of Guidonia Montecelio, which belongs to Rome and where the Ryder Cup was held this year.
Ryder Cup
The Ryder Cup was first held in 1927, then in Worcester, Massachusetts, between players from Great Britain and the United States. Since then, the golf team tournament has been held every two years with few deviations. Since 1979, Team Great Britain has been extended to Europe, the venue changes between the continents. In the statistics, Team USA is ahead, twice there was a draw (1969 and 1989).
Charlène and Albert of Monaco: Separated from each other, more relaxed on the road?
Lavinia is the daughter of the famous Italian fashion designer Laura Biagiotti (73, † 2017), whose empire she now heads. Prince Albert and Lavinia Biagiotti certainly had reason to celebrate at the Ryder Cup, Team Europe emerged as the winner of the golf tournament this time. But the two also seemed to get along very well in other respects, you rarely see Albert with his Charlène so relaxed and relaxed.

Not an easy situation for the princess, who suffers from the way she is portrayed in public. "If there are a thousand photos of me at an event, they choose one where I'm looking down or not smiling, and then say I look awkward or unhappy," Charlène of Monaco said in a recent interview with News24. An external perception that is also shared by body language expert Judi James, who tears apart the last love performances of Charlène and Albert of Monaco. Scenes like that of Albert and Lavinia at the Ryder Cup are unlikely to help boost the princess's self-confidence. Sources used: news24.com. Instagram
