Seizures of narcotics in large quantities in the Alpes-Maritimes. On Wednesday, police intercepted a truck at the La Turbie toll booth, near Monaco on the A8 motorway and heading towards Italy.

In the vehicle, a total of 306 kilos of drugs were found, Nice prosecutor Damien Martinelli said in a statement, confirming information from BFM Nice Côte d'Azur. The latter specifies that these operations took place in the context of a preliminary investigation opened by the public prosecutor's office.

Traffic between France and Tunisia

In detail, the truck was carrying 30 kilos of cannabis resin, 28 kilos of cocaine, and above all, 248 kilos of ecstasy. With these nearly 500,000 MDMA pills, the police make one of the largest seizures of this narcotic in France.
