A worker fell on a staircase at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre and fell several metres into the depths. He died of his injuries.
Nuremberg - A serious industrial accident occurred at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre on Thursday, 9 November. A 55-year-old man suffered fatal injuries. This was announced by the Central Franconia police in a press release.

According to the report, the 55-year-old was carrying out work in a building around 16 p.m. For reasons that are still unclear, he fell on a staircase. As a result, he fell from several meters into the stairwell. "Due to the force of the impact, he suffered severe head injuries," the police said.
The alerted emergency services immediately began resuscitating the man and took him to a hospital. However, the 55-year-old died there the same evening.

Man dies in industrial accident in Nuremberg: investigations are ongoing
"The Central Franconia Criminal Investigation Service took the first criminal police measures at the scene of the accident. The responsible specialist commissioner's office of the Nuremberg Criminal Police will take over further investigations to clarify the cause of the accident," the police concluded. (kam/dpa)
