Among the six fallen IDF soldiers whose names were permitted to be published by the IDF Spokesperson's Office this evening (Saturday night) is Maj. Jamal Abbas from Peki'in, who comes from a military and combat family, in which his father Anan is a colonel in the reserves and his brother Gideon is a captain in the reserves.
Only recently did the IDF publish a conversation between Jamal La'Anan and Gideon, his father and brother. In the conversation, the father, brother and Jamal himself demonstrate the strength and heroism of the Abbas family in the war against Hamas. The father encourages his son, Major Jamal, to remain in Gaza until victory.
