Red Cross President Mirana Spoliarić met in Doha, Qatar, with Ismail Haniya, head of Hamas' political bureau. "The Red Cross has continuously called for the release of the hostages and insisted that our teams be able to visit the hostages to check their health and deliver medicines to them and so that the hostages can convey messages to their families," the ICRC said in a statement.
The Red Cross added: "We are not taking part in the negotiations for the release of the hostages. As a neutral party, we are ready to assist in the release of hostages agreed upon by the parties."
