Representatives of the families of the abductees at a meeting with mayors of North America/Ziv Reinstein
The families of the male abductees protested Monday evening in front of dozens of Knesset members against the "selection" being made in the negotiations with the release of the abductees - which discriminates against the men and soldiers and does not include them in the negotiations like others. This was during a meeting held by the families with dozens of Knesset members and ministers from all factions of the House. Later in the evening, representatives of the families will meet with the War Cabinet.
"There is a consensus, and there are not many of them in this house, on the supreme need to return all the abductees as soon as possible," Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana said at the start of the meeting, which was attended by MK Ahmad Tibi and other Arab MKs, and led by Ohana together with coalition leader Ofir Katz and opposition coordinator MK Merav Ben-Ari. "Sometimes there are differences about what is the right thing to do - but there are no disagreements about the fact that everyone should be returned," protested Alon Nimrodi, father of Tamir Nimrodi, a soldier who was abducted
from the Gaza DCO to the Gaza Strip. "Most of us here are families of civilians and not soldiers, and with forgiveness from everyone's honor: the voice of IDF soldiers inside Gaza has completely disappeared - and this is shameful. It can't be that our sons were on duty and we feel the neglect in the most blatant way in every formation."

"There's a selection here, and it's a very difficult word. Everyone needs to be released. There should be a comprehensive agreement and not a narrow agreement, but a single agreement with sub-clauses. It can't be that a Thai or Nepalese citizen is worth more than my son and that's how it feels. It's unthinkable."
"What are we supposed to think? Feel? Are the men last?" added Galit Hamami, a family member of Alex Lobanov who was kidnapped from the party in Reim. "We don't sleep at night because of these selections. Don't leave us in this situation."
Shoval Gal, the spouse of Ofir Sarfati who was kidnapped from the party in Reim, was also angry: "I was with him at the party, he saved me. Thanks to him, I'm here talking to you. We went out to celebrate his birthday at a party, and unfortunately, after four hours of escape, holding my hand and saving me and all his friends, he was kidnapped with great injuries. We don't know the level of his injury."

"I'm asking you to bring him and everyone back, I want them to talk about the men in the deals. It makes me realize that no one talks about the men, who just went out to celebrate. I beg and ask - do what you can."
Galia, the mother of Evyatar David, who was kidnapped from the party in Reim, said: "This is my son. I've been walking around for 45 days with a poster, with no sign from our children. We don't want hugs and comforts, we want actions. The people of the country deserve the protection and security that was destroyed in just a few hours."
