Mimi Fiedler and Otto Steiner were in a relationship for six years. Now the ex-"Tatort" actress talks to Susan Sideropoulos about the separation.

Kronberg – Four years after they tied the knot, things are over and done with between Mimi Fiedler (48) and her still-husband Otto Steiner (60): The ex-"Tatort" actress has already moved out of the shared apartment and currently lives in a transitional apartment in her old home Kronberg, as she reports in the "LieblingsFrauen" podcast of GZSZ star Susan Sideropoulos (43). In it, the 48-year-old also openly comments on her separation from the successful TV producer ("LOL: Last One Laughing", "Hidden Camera").

Mimi Fiedler unpacks: Ex-"Tatort" actress on separation from Otto Steiner

What ultimately led to the end of the marriage, she "never wants to share on the outside", according to Mimi Fiedler, but the former "Tatort" actress (played the forensic technician Nika Banovic from 2008 to 2018) is quite talkative: "People are not the same in development either. We can't all do the same thing and each person can only do what he or she can at that moment. And either it fits along the way, or it doesn't," she hints in a talk with Susan Sideropoulos.

The native Croatian also talks about her years of alcohol addiction, which Mimi Fiedler successfully overcame in 2019: "Of course, I developed so extremely and so quickly with getting sober and with the path I went into it. I've also become so uncompromising in some things." This was not without consequences: "Of course, this can also be overwhelming for people who live with me to deal with their own patterns and things that they might have to work through if they are not yet ready."

"Tatort" darling Mimi Fiedler finds the topic of separation shameful

The topic of separation was also fraught with shame for her: "I was ashamed to have to say: I broke up! I'm single again. I'm getting divorced again. (...) My Wikipedia entry reads like an 18-part novela with only one leading actress. I was ashamed of it," admits Mimi Fiedler – and denounces: "Shame is a stigma for us women, but one that was taught to us by a toxic male world."

Mimi Fiedler and Otto Steiner were a couple for six years, and now the former "Tatort" actress has spoken out about their separation ©.

However, it was precisely this uneasy feeling that she was able to get rid of when she said to herself: "I'm not doing anything wrong! I'm only deciding for myself! I have nothing to be ashamed of. On the contrary! I'm brave!" The fact that their marriage has now been made public is "perhaps quite good": "Now (...) [we] can move forward with all due respect to each other." Meanwhile, her former acting colleagues have to make do without the 48-year-old. Most recently, Stuttgart's "Tatort" clearly divided viewers.
