The brutal sequence was filmed by security cameras. It lasted a few seconds and served to detain two men. It was on November 22 when Leonardo Micheli (44) went outside his mechanic shop in Temperley and ended up shot in the head. While fighting for his life in the hospital, two suspects were dropped.
They are two young men of 22 and 29 years old, who were captured during several raids in Banfield, at 1400 Tucumán Street, where they found different elements used to commit the brutal attack.
Police sources confirmed to Télam that the detainees are Federico Gastón Benítez (29) and Rodrigo Ezequiel González (22). They believe they are the same ones who were on top of a black and green Bajaj Dominar motorcycle that stopped in front of the victim's workshop to shoot him in cold blood while they were talking.
That same motorcycle was seized in the raid. There was also a Chevrolet Blazer truck, two cell phones, two motorcycle helmets (with characteristics similar to those used on the day of the attack and that were recorded on the security camera) and a laptop.
Witnesses identified one of the assailants "loitering" in the area. He works as a security camera technician and, according to testimonies, he would have carried out the installation in the house of a neighbor of Micheli.

"The person driving the motorcycle was a person who had been prowling the place when the police were carrying out the forensic examinations. He works as a security camera technician and witnesses indicated that he frequented a home located meters from Micheli's workshop. He was known in the neighborhood, but he had no direct relationship with the victim," the investigator said.
The two detainees refused to testify and were placed at the disposal of the head of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 5 of Lomas de Zamora, Marcelo Domínguez, in the framework of the case labeled as "attempted homicide".

The victim collapsed on a trailer parked at the door of his workshop, while the assailants escaped.
A friend of Micheli's who was with him at the time of the incident was the one who helped him to be rushed to the Bicentennial Hospital in Monte Grande, where he underwent surgery and remained hospitalized in intensive care.

Due to the mechanics of the event, investigators believe that it was a settling of scores, whose motivations are a matter of investigation and, for now, remain a mystery for the detectives of the DDI of Lomas de Zamora and for the Justice.
In the meantime, they are also waiting for Micheli's family to provide concrete information about why the attack took place.
