LE FIGARO. - On Monday's episode of C à vous, Patrick Cohen referred to Thomas' murder in Crépol as a "tragic ball", repeating the version according to which the alleged assailants had "come to pick up girls". In what way do you think this presentation is questionable?
Ferghane AZIHARI. - Patrick Cohen is an estimable journalist with a reputation for his seriousness. This is why his editorial on the sordid Crépol affair is striking for its omissions and flippancy in the light of the data we have. The journalist begins his presentation by describing the alleged perpetrators of the crimes as simple young people "who came to have fun and pick up girls". It fails to point out serious anomalies that it contributes to trivializing.
The journalist forgets to note that the presumed perpetrators of the murder invited themselves to this famous party with knives...
