"The Country Doctor's Practice" in the evening program of Sat.1 has motivated so many viewers to tune in that the series continues. How do the fans react?
Berlin - For a few weeks now, the new daily "Die Landarztpraxis" has been running on Sat.1 and Joyn. The further increase in the number of call-offs has apparently exceeded expectations. Therefore, Sat.1 and Joyn recently announced that after the first 60-episode season, they have now ordered a second season with 80 episodes from the production company Filmpool Entertainment.
"The Country Doctor's Practice": Surprising success of the previous evening's series
A message that certainly made the team of the "Country Doctor's Practice" in the tranquil Wiesenkirchen am Schliersee very happy. It was not necessarily foreseeable that the stories about Dr. Sarah König (Caroline Frier, 40), her teenage daughter Leo (Katharina Hirschberg, 22), country doctor Dr. Fabian Kroiß (Oliver Franck, 48) and mountain rescuer Max Raichinger (Alexander Koll, 43) would be so well received by the audience. Several previous attempts by Sat.1 to establish something new on the eve were not crowned with success.
Caroline Frier and her colleague Oliver Franck are all the more radiant in a post by the actress on Instagram. "It's a WRAAAAP, the 100th!! Cheers & thank you," she wrote, toasting her followers with a cup of tea. In the comments, they express their joy about the continuation of the series. However, the competition of "The Mountain Doctor" is already annoyed by the comparisons.
"The Country Doctor's Practice" continues: This is what the fans write
"I'm so happy that it's continuing. Absolutely love the series," one follower wrote under the post. "A super great series, looking forward to more episodes!! Great" and "I can't stand this wait and I'm looking forward to tonight. But I'm mega happy that the series continues," other fans posted. In addition, many compliments are made there for the acting performances.
Of course, there is also a lot of speculation about how the series could continue: "When will the two finally find out", "Hope they get together in the series" or "No, I'm for Max" can be read there. Viewers probably don't quite agree on what ending they want for the series. But almost everyone seems to agree that they are eagerly awaiting the sequel. Filming for the second season is planned as early as the beginning of 2024. Sat.1 also wants to add another early evening series to its program next year. Sources used:Instagram, dwdl.de, sat1.de
