Successful "Arrividerci" from everyday life: The singers of the Freising Jazz and Pop Choir Anchora offered their audience a high level of singing culture and a lively show.
Freising – In the auditorium of the Camerloher Gymnasium, the Anchora Choir took the people of Freising on a musical short holiday to Italy. In addition, there were impressive songs by the gifted singer Beyonce, edgy German punk or poetic dialect songs: all this, literally tore the listeners from their seats. The concert was celebrated with a standing ovation at the end.
Concert highlight for the tenth anniversary
After only a few weeks, the tickets were gone: The concert highlight for the tenth anniversary filled the auditorium of the Camerloher Gymnasium on Sunday morning. In the evening, too, all seats were occupied to the last seat.
Lukas Maier and Mimi Neumair once again demonstrated a keen sense in the selection of the programme. The two musicians from Freising, who ten years ago had launched a "shy" appeal on Facebook for like-minded people, managed to establish an ensemble of extraordinary musicality. There have been many Anchora concert highlights in recent years: in Freising's St. Mary's Cathedral, in the European Artists' House at the Schafhof or in the auditorium of the Camerloher. All former Camerloher students were on stage for the anniversary concert. They had remained true to their "fashion statement": classically dressed in black and white, with the matching accessory: suspenders.
"I'd rather have chocolate" - what would Trude Herr say to that?
The evergreen from the 60s "Cant't take my eyes off of you" was aimed deep into the heart. The huge success that Trude Herr had in the middle of the last century with her song "I don't want chocolate" was added to by the choir members: "I prefer chocolate" was claimed in the most beautiful polyphony.
Afterwards we went on a musical trip over the Brenner Pass, with the best "Canzone del Cuore" in the luggage, a medley with which Anchora paid tribute to the "most beautiful holiday destination" in the world. Favorite songs from the last ten years were played in the second part of the concert.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
Aline Ciasto and Fabian Pflüger interpreted the rap "türlich, türlich" as soloists in a really "cool" way, wonderfully accompanied by the band with Thomas Sedlmeier, Martin Wildfeuer and Stephan Treutter.

"I've got style and money," the male choir members claimed. "And everything that Mimi likes so much." An attempt at flirtation with the woman who has been conducting with her soulful conduct for ten years: Mimi Neumair.
The "hit fireworks" were ignited at the end. "Best of Anchora", a medley of the choir's favorite songs from the last ten years. The audience was thrilled. A terrific show, which was rewarded with rapturous applause.
