In the municipality of Neufahrn there was a violent accident. The reason for this is that the driver of a pickup truck drove through a red light.
Mintraching - Because he "disregarded the red light according to the current state of affairs", according to the Neufahrn police inspectorate, the driver (44) of a small truck caused a violent accident on Tuesday around 15.15 p.m. in Mintraching. Two people were injured and the damage to property is considerable.
The Mini-Brummi was on the Münchner Straße in the direction of Freising, while a Renault driver (33) drove the Erdinger Straße to Neufahrn. Both the 33-year-old and the pickup truck driver wanted to cross the intersection straight ahead. The problem was that the traffic light was green for only one vehicle. The police assume that the Iveco coming from the left passed the intersection at a red light. There was a crash, with the pickup truck tipping over on its left side.
Both drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries
"The driver of the accident was able to leave the vehicle with the assistance of other road users," the police report continues. Both he and the Clio driver were taken to hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles – the total damage amounts to around 20,000 euros – had to be towed away.
The patrol of the PI Neufahrn was supported in the accident investigation by colleagues from the airport and the PI Freising. The Mintraching fire brigade was on site with two vehicles and five firefighters, the FFW Neufahrn with five vehicles and 30 emergency personnel. Ft
