The man suspected of murdering a German tourist in Paris and wounding two others near the Eiffel Tower on Sunday declared his affiliation with ISIS in a video posted on social media. This was announced by the French prosecutor for terrorism Jean-Francois Ricard. According to the prosecutor, he opened an investigation against the 26-year-old on suspicion of murder and attempted murder motivated by belonging to a terrorist organization.

Paris has seen several ISIS-led terrorist attacks in the past.
