Italgas and Tokyo Gas Network have signed a memorandum of understanding at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo to start a collaboration in the strategic areas of gas distribution and aimed at the development of joint projects.
"We strongly believe in confrontation and cooperation at a global level," says Paolo Gallo, CEO of Italgas. "In particular," he adds, "with organizations that, like us, believe that technological innovation is the engine of their growth path."
The agreement was signed in Tokyo by Paolo Gallo, CEO of Italgas, and Kunio Nohata, director and chairperson of the board of Tokyo Gas Network.
"This MoU is of great importance for the further development of economic cooperation between Italy and Japan in the field of energy, a strategic sector for the prosperity of our economies and the future of our societies," says Gianluigi Benedetti, Ambassador of Italy in Tokyo.
We are "very honored to sign this MoU. Through this agreement, we intend to establish collaboration in several areas, including carbon neutrality and seismic disaster management, working together to develop the gas distribution business of both companies," says SatoruSawada, CEO of Tokyo Gas Network.
