Six people were brought before a judge for possible indictment on Monday (December 4th) in Dijon in the investigation into the gusts targeting a deal point that caused the death at the end of November of a father living just above, the prosecutor's office said.

Among the six people brought to justice, two were intercepted at the French-Spanish border on Thursday 30 November at the wheel of a "Volkswagen Polo" vehicle. The owner of the vehicle, as well as another person who had used the car "for clothing purchases before the events", were also arrested, Dijon public prosecutor Olivier Caracotch said in a statement.

The surveillance of the Volkswagen also led to the arrest of two other people, including a minor "admitting to having stolen the vehicle discovered in a box immediately after the incident". It was the search of this first vehicle, presumably used by the perpetrators of the shootings, that then allowed the police to get their hands on the two men at the border with Spain.

During their police custody, the longest of which lasted 96 hours, all the defendants "generally denied any participation in the facts", the prosecutor added in his statement, which specifies that these people were "not or little known to the judicial services".
