After weeks of construction work, the City Tunnel in Hamburg is passable again. This is an important step before the upcoming conversion of the route network.
Hamburg – The months-long closure of the Hamburg City Tunnel due to renovation work is now over. According to the operator, the S-Bahn trains can now run regularly again via the Landungsbrücken. In order to modernize the tracks, the S-Bahn trains had to be diverted via the Dammtor in the meantime.
Closure since the summer holidays: preparations for redesigns
