On Friday evening (1 December), Marianne and Michael Hartl chatted about their careers and their marriage in the "Riverboat" on MDR. However, the TV viewers were repeatedly disturbed by unpleasant noises.

Leipzig – On Friday evening (1 December), a wide variety of guests once again came together in the MDR "Riverboat". In addition to presenter Marco Schreyl (49) and ex-biathlete Magdalena Neuner (36), the folk music couple Marianne (70) and Michael Hartl (74) also chatted with presenters Matze Knop (49) and Kim Fisher (54). However, there was a technical glitch that Marianne had caused herself.

Marianne Hartl ensures that the "Riverboat" is disturbing for minutes

While Ben Becker (58) had recently remarked that he was glad that he was late for the "Riverboat", this time everyone is on time. Right at the beginning, Marianne and Michael are asked to talk. But while the 70-year-old talks about her passion for folk music, TV viewers get to hear strange noises.

Hissing and cracking noises repeatedly disturb the conversation – especially when Marianne Hartl speaks, the disturbances occur more frequently. For more than three minutes, the strange sounds can be heard, sometimes more, sometimes less, until Kim Fisher brings light into the darkness. "Marianne, can I, as a woman, be the fun brake? I just hear your earring rattling on the microphone," the presenter finally relents. Marianne reacts immediately and dutifully takes off her jewelry.

Marianne and Michael will retire in 2024

For 44 years, Marianne and Michael have not only been a music duo, but also a married couple. In 2024, however, the two will go on a farewell tour - with Stefan Mross (48), among others. "It's a good feeling to retire," Michael emphasizes. They had always achieved everything they ever wanted to achieve. Marianne also explains: "No more pressure, no more having to function, no more getting in the car and driving for hours to the appointment again."

In the summer, model Franziska Knuppe (48) was also a guest at the "Riverboat" – and was upset that not enough research had been done about her. Sources used: MDR / "Riverboat"
