If I knew" where the body of Marie-Angèle Domèce was, "I would say it," Monique Olivier said in response to a question about the location of the remains of one of the victims of her ex-husband Michel Fourniret, during her first interrogation on the facts on Tuesday (December 5th). "I'm going to die in prison, why don't I say it?" she said in front of the Hauts-de-Seine Assize Court, standing in the defendants' box, her back hunched over in her eternal white sweater.

'Complicit'

The accused, who has been in court for a week, was responding to President Didier Safar who questioned her on Tuesday morning for the first time about the facts in the cases of Domèce and Parrish, two young girls kidnapped, raped and killed by Michel Fourniret in 1988 and 1990. Monique Olivier repeated several times at the beginning of the interrogation that "some memories have difficulty coming back", thus justifying her hesitations and silences.

In any case, she has again acknowledged her role as an "accomplice" in the acts of her husband, who died in 2021 and was convicted in 2008 of seven other murders of young women and teenage girls. Monique Olivier was sentenced to life imprisonment at the same trial for complicity in four murders and one rape committed by the "Ogre". She faces the same sentence again.
