No one doubts that Cuti Cristian Romero is a guarantee for the defense, but the Cordovan also contributed a goal to his game. In the 11th minute of the first half, the former Belgrano de Córdoba player put a header into the corner to put Tottenham ahead against West Ham on matchday 15 of the Premier League.
Romero was a starter in the team led by the Greek-Australian Angelos Postecoglou and in the first chance he had he opened the scoring. It was just after ten minutes of play when he went to the opponent's area to look for a corner from the right.
El Cuti leapt between three opponents and put a perfect header to the far post that slipped into the corner of the goal defended by Polish goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.
The former Genoa and Atalanta player from Cordoba scored for the third time this season for Tottenham (he also scored for the National Team in the friendly against Indonesia, in June of this year) after his goals against Brentford, in the 2-2 draw on the first matchday; and in the 5-2 thrashing of Burnley, on matchday four.
