The sudden and spectacular breakthrough of Notre-Dame's spire in the sky in recent days shows that decisive steps are being taken. On April 15, 2019, the whole world witnessed its destruction by fire and then its fall.
A year before the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris, its uprighting, as well as its cross, just reinstalled at its summit, marks the final stretch of the work. By the end of the year, the framework of the spire should be completed, and a metal rooster will be added to its top, which, according to tradition, will be blessed before being placed.
