In what is considered the party act prior to the election of the new President of the Radical Party that will be elected next Friday, the leaders of the UCR, Gerardo Morales and Martin Lousteau, managed to impose Adriano Morone as the new head of the National Committee of the Radical Youth.
Just as it happened in the radical bloc of national deputies, in which after a bitter rupture the radicals achieved unity behind the leadership of the leader of Evolution, Rodrigo De Loredo, the young radicals also avoided confrontation and elected the Jujuy native of the Morales sector.
Morone headed a unity list that had the backing of the outgoing governor of Jujuy and the senator of Buenos Aires, as well as the governors and parliamentary chiefs De Loredo and Eduardo Vischi, deputies and the Senate.
The plenary of the young radicals deliberated today at the headquarters of the National Committee and elected Morone who will replace Valeria Pavón, a provincial legislator who was sworn into office days ago.
Valeria Pavón, the president of the Radical Youth who is leaving her post.
Morone is a lawyer born in San Salvador. He is president of the Radical Youth of Jujuy and a provincial deputy.
The consecration is the result of the agreement led by the UCR that integrates the sector of Morales and Evolution, the space led by Lousteau and which will have two vice presidents, one from Santa Fe and the other from San Luis, at the steering table.
Lousteau is one of the names that gathers the greatest consensus to be elected president of the National Committee to replace Morales, in an election that will take place on December 15.
As part of the unity achieved in the JR, Juana Allende from Mendoza will be vice president 1, Leo Stangaferro from Santa Fe will be 2nd vice president and the Secretary General will be Moisés García from the White Beret of Tucumán group, while the young people referenced in Facundo Manes will occupy one of the places in the plenary of seniors of the UCR on behalf of young people.
