Andrea Berg is always at the stove herself for the Christmas feast. However, her dog Elvis threw a spanner in the works a few years ago.

Aspach – For Andrea Berg (57), Christmas is traditional. Together with her husband Ulrich Ferber (64), the pop queen lives on an idyllic farm in Aspach, Baden-Württemberg, and during the holidays, classic home cooking is particularly important here.

To make sure that everything really tastes the way the "You lied to me a thousand times" interpreter and her partner imagine, Andrea and Uli are of course at the stove themselves for the Christmas feast. Normally, the preparation of the roast takes place without major incidents — but a few years ago, Andrea's dog put the feast in considerable danger.

Andrea Berg's dog snuck into the kitchen at Christmas

Andrea Berg and Ulrich Ferber know exactly what they want to eat at Christmas: Sauerbraten, red cabbage and dumplings are served every year in Aspach. In an interview with Schlager.de, the singer explains why a Christmas a long time ago had to do with almost no potato side dish.

"On Christmas Day, I had prepared everything in good teamwork with my husband and we only went out of the kitchen for a few minutes," Berg says in an interview. However, their short absence ultimately cost their owners dearly, because dog Elvis took advantage of the opportunity.

Andrea Berg took the mishap at Christmas with humor

"When we came back, only half of the dumplings were left," says Andrea Berg about her Christmas dinner a few years ago. "Uli and I looked at each other and laughed out loud. Our Bernese mountain dog Elvis had taken advantage of our absence and simply tasted it in advance..." However, it was clear to the pop icon from the outset that she could not blame her beloved four-legged friend for the mishap. After all, Elvis also deserved a feast. "We've had our fill even without dumplings," Berg sums up the incident with humour.

This year, Andrea Berg was in the Christmas spirit early on. After all, she released an album of festive music a few weeks ago. Because she had previously praised and promoted the record on a large scale, many fans did not speak well of their idol. They thought Andrea Berg was doing too much advertising and were angry about it. Sources used: Schlager.de
