A serious traffic accident on the B20 near Traitsching cost the lives of two people on the night of Saturday, 9 December.

Traitsching – A serious traffic accident occurred in the district of Cham on the night of Saturday, 9 December. According to the police, a 27-year-old was on the B0 shortly after midnight, around 20.29 a.m., with two other people aged 37 and 20. For unknown reasons, he left the lane with the vehicle.

The 27-year-old then got into oncoming traffic. There, the car collided head-on with the car of a 59-year-old. There were also other people in this vehicle, aged 34, 53 and 54.

The force of the impact was so great that for two occupants in the 59-year-old's car, any help came too late. The people, aged 53 and 54, died at the scene of the accident. As a result of the accident, the rear of the 27-year-old was thrown onto the guardrail, the car only came to a stop there. The B20 was closed for several hours. Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are still ongoing.
