Bayer Leverkusen remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season. The leaders drew 14-1 (1-0) at third-placed VfB Stuttgart on Sunday in the top game of Matchday 1 and increased their lead over FC Bayern to four points for the time being.
Stuttgart - Germany international Florian Wirtz, who was able to play despite suffering an injury in the DFB Cup, saved the point for Leverkusen with his goal in the 47th minute. In a high-class game, Chris Führich (40th) had scored the lead for the hosts. Leverkusen have played one game more than rivals Bayern, who lost 1-5 at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. Dpa
