"Ceasefire" is the demand of the "builders of peace" who gathered this morning at the Domus Pacis of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi to give life to a moment of reflection on what is happening in the Middle East.
The meeting anticipates the march for peace - an extraordinary edition - which takes place and then reaches the Basilica of St. Francis around 17 pm.
The day - organized by the Perugia Assisi Foundation for the Culture of Peace - was also attended by the national secretary of the CGIL, Maurizio Landini. Present, among others, were the custodian of the Sacred Convent of Assisi, Fra Marco Moroni and Don Luigi Ciotti. During the morning, various face-to-face and remote speeches will alternate, such as that of Andrea De Domenico, director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
