Germering – The Germering Greens have elected a new board of directors at the local assembly in the Germering brewery.
"In response to the city's slogan 'Germering can be more beautiful, hardly better', the campaign 'Germering can do better' is to start as early as 2024," said the new board spokesmen of the Germering Greens, Lisa Pazzini and Rainer Husmann. For this purpose, the format "The Colorful Sofa" was created. In the format, Germering-specific topics are to be taken up and openly discussed with citizens. The focus is deliberately not only on members of the Greens, but on everyone who wants to get involved in a certain topic.
Happy to hand over a role
The previous spokesman of the Germering Greens, David Kulbe, who left Germering for professional reasons, and also Sophie Schuhmacher, who only wanted to take over the post of spokeswoman on an interim basis, resigned from their office. "I have held several positions in Germering for three and a half years now and have to fulfil various roles as the third mayor, city councillor and spokesperson for the local association. The separation of these roles constantly presents me with new challenges and so I am very happy that I can give up one of these roles tonight," said Sophie Schuhmacher.
Increasingly separating functions
In order to ensure a smooth transition between the old and the new board, Sophie Schumacher stood for election as an advisory board member and was confirmed, as were Barbara Mokler and Friedrich Lange. Sebastian Lederer was newly elected. In the future, the Greens want to increasingly separate the functions between the party and the city council in order to be able to sharpen the Green profile as a party. Therefore, in addition to David Kulbe, the deserving city councillors Angelika Dürr and Gerhard Blahusch have also resigned from the previous board.
