A 30-year-old woman from Miesbach made a spectacular find in a shop: In the handbag of a woman from Waakirchen, who had forgotten it in the shop, there were gold bars worth 50,000 euros.
Miesbach - As the police have only now announced, the employee from Miesbach found the small handbag with some small gold bars and various coins in a local shop on Thursday, December 7. This bag had previously been forgotten there by a 45-year-old woman from Waakirchen. The young finder brought the valuables to the Miesbach police station the following day. There it was found that it was mainly fine gold worth an estimated 50,000 euros; taking into account the price of gold on the date of delivery.
Only on the basis of a handwritten smear note inside the bag with a surname could the actual owner finally be identified and notified by telephone. Curiously, she still hadn't noticed the loss. The valuables were returned to the 45-year-old owner before Christmas. The honest finder can now look forward to an early Christmas present in the low four-digit range, which resulted from the finder's reward to which she is legally entitled.
