Highlights: Hamza Yosef, the First Minister of Scotland, is under international criticism following a video he published. Yosef spoke for two minutes and talked about solidarity, genocide, human rights and the need to stand against cruelty everywhere in the world. He chose not to mention even a single word the genocide committed by the Nazis, led by Hitler, against the Jewish people. "The first minister was frightened and avoided the use of the word Jew in a pathetic way," said Sir Simon Michael Shama, a British Jewish writer and historian.

Hamza Yosef, the First Minister of Scotland, a position equivalent to the position of Prime Minister, is under international criticism following a video he published on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day in which he "managed" to completely ignore the genocide committed against the Jews by the Nazis in the Holocaust.

Yosef is also under criticism following Scotland's continued support for UNRWA.

Like many leaders in the world, Yosef, the first minister of Scotland, published a video on the occasion of the International Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust and Heroism.

Yosef spoke for two minutes and talked about solidarity, genocide, human rights and the need to stand against cruelty everywhere in the world.

He even lit a candle in memory of "everyone who was affected by the Holocaust", but he chose not to mention even a single word the genocide committed by the Nazis, led by Hitler, against the Jewish people.

In fact, he didn't even say the word once in his speech.

Exactly the thought towards which the Third Reich aimed

"The first minister was frightened and avoided the use of the word Jew in a pathetic way. It is not enough that millions of our people perished, now we are subject to a second disappearance - and this is exactly the thought towards which the Reich aimed," said Sir Simon Michael Shama, a British Jewish writer and historian.

In the article, which was published on the British EXPRESS website, additional criticisms were cited of Yosef's disregard for the genocide committed by the Nazis.

"Six million Jews were murdered just because they were Jews, but if you listen to the statement, you wouldn't know that it even happened," said Drew Pablo, an Australian political activist, who claimed that the First Minister of Scotland was omitting the historical context of the Holocaust in his speech.

Simon Montefiore, a historian and commentator on television, also treated Yosef's speech with cynicism.

An Australian news anchor, Rita Panhi, turned to Yosef with a question: "Did you forget a word or two? Jews? Jew? How the hell do you release a statement about Holocaust Day without mentioning Jews?"

The criticism of his ignoring the genocide committed in the Holocaust in his speech joins another current issue in which he is under criticism, which is the continued support for the Palestinian Refugee Organization of the United Nations, despite the knowledge that some of its employees participated in the October 7 massacre.

Unlike countries such as the USA, England, Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, France, Italy and more, Scotland has not yet announced the end of support for UNRWA in favor of examining the issue of support for the organization's employees in the events of Black Sabbath.
