An inmate was found lifeless at the Nantes remand center on Sunday evening.

, he was discovered dead in his individual cell, around 8 p.m.

In this prison where convicts serve short sentences or pretrial detention, the one who ended his life was 30 years old.
He was sentenced to fifteen months in prison at the end of summer 2023.

Autopsy requested
An investigation was opened and the prosecution requested an autopsy to be carried out.
According to initial evidence, he killed himself by hanging.
