At an airport in Brazil, a swarm of bees caused an unusual fire brigade operation: the insects attached themselves to the wing and delayed passengers.

Natal — The passengers of a commercial airliner were stuck on the landing strip at Natal airport in northeastern Brazil for over an hour: instead of being able to leave the plane, they were shown back to their seats by board members.

Shortly after landing, a loud buzzing noise was suddenly heard: a huge swarm of bees had infested the plane.

Videos show masses of bees suddenly settling all over the plane.

“They started buzzing around the entire plane,” passenger Everton César told local media.

The fire department had to be called in to remove the swarm.

“It took some time for them to arrive, assess the situation and figure out what to do,” César said.

The duration of the operation caused the passengers on board to become restless.

Near Zurich, a plane suddenly lost control at over 250 km/h and had to abort takeoff.
