On February 3rd, the Theater am Burgerfeld welcomes the cabaret artist and songwriter Werner Meier with his program Meiers Auslese.

Markt Schwaben – Cheeky mouth and groovy guitar, these are Werner Meier’s trademarks.

Timeless, clever and accurate, the master of subtle humor packs big topics into small everyday stories with astonishing punchlines and combines seriousness with good entertainment in his relaxed way.

On Saturday, February 3rd at 8 p.m., Werner Meier will be a guest at the Theaterhalle in Markt Schwaben with his new program, which interweaves new songs from his fine pen with a selection from the last few years: The farmer loves his AI farmer's wife, who is with him their artificial intelligence completely dominates the milking parlor, the refrigerator and soon even him;

The power of love doesn't stop at the priest either.

And for the lazy and the threadbare he has an amazing tip from his 'Fitness Center Garden'.

Werner Meier is also presenting a very special selection this evening, as he is reading from his new book: “7 Küah – 8 children – 40 dumplings – 1 canape.

Wonderfully Bavarian, strange stories from his childhood as a farm boy.

They come across without any false sentimentality, sometimes mischievous and sometimes profound, sometimes with powerful wit and sometimes poetically quiet.

They take you on a journey through time to a Bavarian farm in the 1960s between cow dung, zinc bathtubs and a visit from a Japanese bishop.

All in all, a typical Meier evening, with its brilliant mix of laughter and thoughtfulness, humor and depth, organized by the theater club.
