A bar was damaged during the night from Sunday to Monday in a popular district of Bastia, the 4th since the start of the year on the island, we learned from Corsican prosecutors.

, in the southern districts of Bastia, was damaged by the explosion of an
“explosive device”
around 1:30 a.m., Bastia public prosecutor Jean-Philippe Navarre said on Monday.

On January 19, another bar in the southern districts of Bastia,
“U Centru”
, was hit.
On January 2,
“le Pelican”
, in Montesoro, still in the south of Bastia, suffered the same fate.
In all three cases,
“explosive devices”
were found and investigations for damage by dangerous means were opened by the prosecution, which entrusted them to the interdepartmental direction of the national police.
No claims have been made for these facts.
“For the moment, these are three separate investigations and at this stage, no link has been judicially established between these three facts
,” insisted the Bastia prosecutor.
In Corsica-du-Sud,

in Propriano was damaged during the night from Thursday to Friday:
“an explosion took place inside the bar, which caused considerable damage
,” said the prosecutor of the Republic of Ajaccio Nicolas Septe who also opened an investigation for damage by dangerous means entrusted to the Research Section of the gendarmerie.
This bar was the scene in June 2022 of the assassination of Jean-Christophe Mocchi, a 56-year-old Proprian business leader and consular judge of the Ajaccio commercial court.
