The dispute between the state of Texas and the US government of Joe Biden over the border with Mexico prompted Putin confidant Dmitry Medvedev to come up with a confusing thesis.

Austin - US President Joe Biden is confronted with a polarizing dispute.

The state of Texas wants to keep its partially improvised border fence with Mexico, while Biden wants to have it removed by the border police of the entire United States.

Putin confidant Dmitri Medvedev: Wild “civil war” theory about the USA

There is heated debate about this issue in the USA.

The fact that this is the case has now led Kremlin autocrat Vladimir Putin's Moscow regime to once again come up with a confusing thesis.

Former President Dmitry Medvedev said that Texas could be the starting point of a new “bloody civil war” in America.

He was alluding to the American Civil War (1861 to 1865) between the southern states that were united in the Confederacy and the northern states that remained in the Union.

“In history there are known cases when some states tried to secede from the Union and create the Confederacy,” wrote the 58-year-old Medvedev on X (formerly Twitter): “The end result was a bloody civil war that killed thousands and cost thousands and thousands of lives.”

Either way, “America could be confronted with an insoluble constitutional crisis and fall into the abyss of a new, possibly even more destructive civil confrontation for a long time,” the Putin confidant wrote in his article: “The world is waiting for this with bated breath, full of fear stare at American chaos.

Well, it’s their problem anyway.”

USA: The state of Texas has built its own barbed wire border fence with Mexico

This is what happened: The state of Texas, for example, had installed barbed wire and other obstacles on its own initiative on the banks of the Rio Grande near the border town of Eagle Pass to prevent illegal migrants from Mexico from crossing the border.

In some cases, freight containers were lined up for kilometers long and covered with barbed wire.

Texas is simply securing the border, Republican Governor Greg Abbott said on Fox News.

reports, “a floating circular saw barrier in the Rio Grande” was allegedly even used.

Former President Donald Trump, like Abbott a Republican, had promised his voters a border fence with Mexico.

Biden, on the other hand, is significantly more moderate on migration policy than his predecessor.

US government of Joe Biden: dispute with the state of Texas and Governor Greg Abbott

On January 22, the Supreme Court of the United States sided with the Biden administration by a vote of five to four, allowing US Border Patrol officials to temporarily remove the barbed wire while the legal battle continues and has not yet been resolved.

According to Newsweek,

the ruling does not prohibit Texas

from installing more barbed wire along the border, but does authorize the federal government to remove it if deemed necessary.

Abbott said on January 24 that he would defy the Supreme Court's order.

He referred to the “right of the state to self-defense”.

In the context of the Ukraine war, there is a noticeable increase in swipes at the USA from Russia - and not just from the former Prime Minister Medvedev.

Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently made fun of American arms deliveries to the Ukrainians.
