Attorney Baez Ben Tzur, who represents Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Case 4000, announced today (Monday) his intention to end his position after the prosecution's testimony in the case ends. In his announcement to the District Court in Jerusalem, he stated that he decided to do so due to the health condition of his family member. Attorney Amit Hadad, who represents Netanyahu in cases 1000 and 2000, expressed his willingness to represent him instead of Ben Tzur in this case as well.
"From the beginning of the procedure until now, I am convinced that the allegations against the Prime Minister have no basis and that they were disproved in court. I am confident that lawyer Hadad will continue and prove this in the Hagana case as well," said Ben Tzur.

Following his lawyer's announcement, Netanyahu said: "I thank Attorney Ben Tzur for his professional and dedicated work, and for the significant revelations he discovered that disprove the accusations against me.
I'm sorry for his departure, but under the circumstances - family comes first.
I can only wish a full recovery for his family member."
