He was dragged 20 to 30 meters.

According to police, the mutual friend then went to look for him.

The 28-year-old stayed where she was.

Suddenly more snow masses came loose and buried the young woman.

Only the mountain rescue team was able to free her, but they could only determine that she was dead.

Attempts at resuscitation were negative.

The two men remained uninjured and were rescued by the emergency helicopter.

In the Gemeindealpe ski area, near Mitterbach on Lake Erlauf, a 57-year-old had a fatal accident on Saturday morning (January 27th).

The skier left the slope for an unknown reason and crashed into a tree.

As the Lower Austria State Police Department announced, she also died on site from her injuries.

Just recently, a 16-year-old from Germany was caught in an avalanche in front of his brother in Austria.

However, a search operation for someone buried in snow in the Alps was called off.
