A drunk man rammed a cyclist from behind with his car in Marktoberdorf.

The woman fell and injured herself in the accident.

Marktoberdorf – On Saturday afternoon, a drunk man in Marktoberdorf rammed a 59-year-old cyclist from behind with his car and caused her to fall.

This is reported by the Swabia South/West Police Headquarters.

Fortunately, the perpetrator was identified with the help of attentive witnesses.

Coming from Bahnhofstrasse, the cyclist wanted to turn into Georg-Fischer-Strasse at the roundabout when the car driver hit her from behind, causing her to fall.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

At first the driver stopped briefly, but then quickly drove on.

However, based on the license plate number, which an attentive witness noted, the man was quickly identified.

It turned out that he was drunk at the time of the accident.

He is now being investigated for endangering road traffic and leaving the scene of an accident without permission.
