Hamburg – Just recently, farmers’ protests caused chaos on streets across Germany.

Now the protests are not only spreading across Europe, there are also blockades again in Hamburg.

The protests brought morning rush hour traffic in the port city to a standstill in several places.

According to the police, the disruption would occur primarily in the port area.

Traffic is also backed up on the A7 and entrances and exits.

The police ask X (formerly Twitter) to avoid the area as far as possible.

Drivers also have to be patient around Finkenwerder Straße.

Tractors block the intersection.

“This of course has serious consequences,” said a police spokesman.

Here the emergency services even had to put out burning tires.

Other participants dumped piles of dung onto the road.

Numerous farmers also gathered in front of the main university building at Dammtor train station.

The emergency services are currently trying to negotiate with the protesters so that traffic can flow again.

But it doesn't seem that simple.

“We would rather get arrested than leave here,” the organizer told an
