This subsidy amounting to 80,000 euros was defended by the mayor of Marseille, Benoît Payan, and voted by his majority during the last municipal council in December.

Waiting for France's official position
The right-wing opposition challenged the councilor on social networks after the latest revelations about UNRWA, and the town hall announced its decision a few hours later.
