The Moby Legacy, sister ship of one of the largest ferries in the world, Moby Fantasy, touched the port of Livorno for the first time last night after a navigation of 32 days and 14,000 nautical miles.
Having left the Chinese shipyard Guangzhou Shipyard on 27 December, she crossed three oceans to make her first entry into the Mediterranean, led by Commander Massimo Pinsolo and his crew.
Moby Legacy will be operational for Sardinia along the Livorno-Olbia route, starting from February 17th.
"With its 237 meters long by 32 meters wide and a gross tonnage of 69,500 tonnes, Moby Legacy is, together with its sister ship MobyFantasy - says Moby - the largest passenger ferry built so far in the world, with a capacity of 3,000 passengers and 3,850 linear meters of rolling load. The high sustainability standards adopted also make it the most cutting-edge and technologically sophisticated ferry with respect to environmental protection and emissions reduction".
To celebrate the new ferry, the Company, on the occasion of the departure of the Moby Legacy at the end of December, launched a special promotion dedicated to all passengers who decide to book their trip.
The special "Moby Legacy" promotional rate is valid for a passenger with accompanying car starting from 54.80 euros on the Livorno-Olbia-Livorno route and is valid for those who book from 10 January for departures until 30 September 2024, subject to availability of seats reserved for the initiative .
