Erding – The extension of a new kitchen for the Heiliggeist retirement home in Erding at Hiasl-Maier-Straße 9 will cost six million euros.

This is what Mayor Max Gotz assumed when he laid the foundation stone in the presence of numerous guests.

The construction project represents the Heiliggeist Hospital Foundation's largest investment in many years. Up to 400 meals can be cooked every day.

“We have made a good and right decision for the benefit of our citizens,” says the Mayor happily.

But the modernization will also result in work improvements for the employees with head chef Wolfgang Scholz.

At times, up to ten people work in shifts in the commercial kitchen.

The kitchen wing extension will also have a walk-out roof terrace with a water feature, barefoot path and raised beds.

A meeting place for relaxation that can be used by residents, visitors and employees, informed architect Martin Janik.

“The new kitchen building is a milestone in the history of this retirement home,” emphasized Social Affairs Minister Ulrike Scharf.

And you have to be grateful for that.
