On Sunday evening (January 28th) RTL will shorten the jungle camp again to 40 minutes.
The reason: Afterwards the NFL will be broadcast on TV - much to the displeasure of the fans.

The jungle camp is in full swing.
However, there is a downer for fans of the RTL cult show: the broadcast on Sunday (January 28th) is only around 40 minutes long.
The channel then shows American football.
The Kansas City Chiefs face the Baltimore Ravens.
But jungle fans would prefer to see more drama from the Australian bush.

“After the jungle camp, I won’t hate any other sport as much as American football,” rages an RTL viewer.
Some people can understand that.
“Today only 40 minutes.
Unbelievable,” writes another.
“I will never understand the fact that RTL only shows the jungle camp for 40 minutes on a Sunday at prime time and then shows the NFL!” and “40 minutes of jungle on a Sunday... dude, that’s not possible!” are two more of the numerous complaints.

RTL viewers trust in competition: Short jungle camp edition causes frustration
RTL may be heading for a ratings disaster, although the jungle camp actually got off to a fairly successful start.
The fact that the NFL is now preferred makes the decision quite easy for those viewers who were actually looking forward to IBES.
because they have already found what they are looking for in the competition's TV program: “Sorry, only until 8:55 p.m. and then possibly with advertising.
I'm out of there and would rather watch 'Tatort' on the first,” says one comment as an example.
There were already big emotions in the jungle camp, but there isn't much time for them on Sunday evening: Because RTL prefers to broadcast an NFL game, "I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!" only gets a measly 40 minutes of broadcast time.

Some people, however, claim that RTL should have shown the NFL games on another of its own channels, such as NITRO, or via a live stream on RTL+.
However, it remains questionable whether Cologne will consider this proposal for next Sunday.
